To help us pursue our corporate strategy of sustainable, responsible, qualitative and quantitative growth, we are looking for a Head of Department to join our team at our headquarters in Dietlikon (Zurich, Switzerland).

JOB DESCRIPTION

As LUZI’s Head of Analytical and Technical Perfumery, you ensure qualitative and timely analytical delivery and support the team in a transformation phase which leads to the expansion of its scope. You manage the introduction of a new competence within the department (technical perfumery) and foster collaboration and team spirit across our HQ, Malaysia and the UAE. You empower the respective teams and team members while ensuring process efficiency and harmonization.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead the transformation of the Analytical and Technical Perfumery department.
  • Drive team performance and employee development.
  • Implement strategic priorities and guidelines in your area.
  • Ensure strong collaboration and knowledge exchange across teams locally and internationally.
  • Define budgets for European and UAE labs and steer investments relevant for global operations.
  • Plan laboratory setups for new locations, including GC and GC-MS capabilities and infrastructure needs.
  • Define and safeguard quality standards for analytical formulations, and extraction methods.

WHAT WE EXPECT

  • 15+ years expertise in Analytical Perfumery, Technical Perfumery, or GC/GC-MS analytics.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing international teams.
  • Experienced in driving organizational change, transformation, or capability building.
  • Deep understanding of fragrance house processes, systems, and laboratory workflows.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in perfumery, chemistry, economy, or related fields.
  • Fluent in English and German; French is a plus.
  • Clear communication style, strong ownership, and resilience in a dynamic environment.
